Jessica Harris S/S '09 collection takes its inspiration from an early 80's barbie doll, the 'office barbie'! The 'garden party' idea became an important element to the design of the collection in terms of the sprinkled use of floral pastel color and vivacious print in contrast to crisp navy and inky black for separates. The concept behind the look book was to connect these keyword themes. This was achieved by placing the model among the blooming flowers which had sprouted along the medieval buildings nestled into the tiny streets surrounding Jessica Harris' boutique in Rome. This backdrop created a nice contrast to the textures and colors of the collection's materials, all of which are precious and researched fabrics from some of the finest and most innovative mills in Italy.
The SS'09 collection was recently presented in July 2008 as part of the Rome fashion week calendar (AltaRoma).
