This artwork was created by Kagami Shinohara for Coco Career's 'Art on Fashion' project.
Art on Fashion is celebrating the interdisciplinary activity of creatives, both critically acclaimed emerging talents as well as internationally established artists.
For this special project Coco Career's Boutique (Verena Paloma Jabs) has asked artists and designers to create an image, which is offered as limited edition screenprints on paper and T-shirts.
About Kagami Shinohara
Kagami was born in Nagano, Japan and graduated from St. Martins College of Art. Besides creating detailed craft and fashion accessories Kagami works as an artist specialising in animation and performance art. She also works in collaboration with Japanese fashion label KiKi robe designing prints for the brand. In humble yet eclectic site-specific performances and installations across Europe Kagami has ‘planted‘ mushroom-sculptures in a snowy park in Oslo, performed Swop, which saw her place chestnuts under a pear-tree and pears under a chestnut tree nearby in Budapest and built Tables for Squirrels in London‘s parks. She has screened her animations at various festivals, some of which include Kodomo Festival in Japan, Hull International Film Festival, Video Club in Brighton, Betting on Shorts at the ICA, Ladyfest, IAF3 in Istanbul and has been the winner of The Smalls in London. Kagami also curated a video-festival in in Tokyo. .
